Skills: Ability to pick up on new skills quickly through observation. Keen observation skills from Organization XIII training. Skateboarding skills.
Canon Abilities:
Keyblade Dual-Wielding: Roxas can summon a keyblade but unlike other keyblade users, he is a dual-wielder (meaning he uses two keyblades at the same time) and is basically a powerhouse. His keyblades of choice are Oathkeeper and Oblivion. His intensity when fighting gives him the highest attack modifier in Kingdom Hearts 3 at 20. Roxas has incredible endurance and has shown the ability to quickly regain consciousness after being knocked out in combat.

Light: As a former Nobody, he has the attribute of light and can harness light into devastating attacks. He can glide at super fast speeds and control 13 sword-shaped shields of light energy which connect to form a laser array. He can levitate his keyblades in the air and whirl and spin them rapidly for attacks or defense, even creating a ring of damage just by twirling them in a circle.

Limit Break: The Final Limit causes him to summon pillars of light which fire in all directions. Magic Hour causes Roxas to leap into the air and summon large pillars of light to hammer the battlefield. In the Final Limit, the pillars of light intensify and grow larger.

Magic: He is proficient in the use of all Kingdom Hearts 1 elemental spells (Firaga, Blizzaga, Thundaga, Graviga, Aeroga, Curaga, Stopga) as well as Waterga/Waterza from KH3, if he feels like using them.

Physical Abilities: All of Sora's Kingdom Hearts 1 move sets (with the exception of Zantetsuken since that's obtained after Hollow Bastion) and the ability to literally run up buildings.

Dark Corridors: As a Nobody, he can also theoretically still traverse worlds through Dark Corridors, but he won't be able to use them to escape the world of Folkmore.

Role: Myth
Role Qualities/Attributes: The works! Tiny demon horns, a lion-like tail, retractable claws and tiny fangs.
Role Reasoning: Myth fits Roxas well because he was originally raised for dark purposes within Organization XIII, intended to replace Sora on the Light and to be a vessel for the villain Xehanort. He resents authority and tends to care singularly about his friends, although he is starting to move beyond that. He is still learning to understand emotions and lashes out easily. I want him to work toward Legend, as he gains a better understanding of his emotions and opens up more. It will be part of his journey toward being a regular human.

What was the most traumatic experience your character endured? How did this change them?
Roxas has been through endless trauma. From his friend Xion turning on him and forcing him to kill her. To learning that his friend Axel has been lying to him his whole life. To being kidnapped and brainwashed to think he was someone else while trapped in a digital world. To feeling his Axel die while Roxas is merged with Sora. These experience have left Roxas hesitant to trust yet fiercely attached and fixated on his friends, to the point where they are an essential part of his being and the thought of losing them again terrifies him. It has also left him with a deep distrust of higher level technology since he associated it with his brainwashing. Most important, all of this has left Roxas with a shaky perception of self and a fear that his existence could end at any moment. So he has to embrace life to its fullest and experience everything while he can.

What is the most important and defining relationship(s) in your character's life and why?
His friends Xion and Axel are the most important relationships in Roxas' life. They were a major part of shaping him to be something other than a emotionless vessel Xehanort. Axel was the person who taught Roxas about friendship and allowed him to have an existence beyond just Organization missions. He had something to look forward to the end of day, hanging out with Axel. Xion is equally important since she allowed Roxas to pay forward his lessons from Axel and teach someone else how to live life within the smothering Organization. When he thinks Axel has died on a missions, it's the first time Roxas experiences grief, which he struggles to understand. And he experiences true elation when he learns that Axel is all right. His friendship with Xion is the first time he goes out of his way to help another as he takes on her missions when she has trouble summoning her Keyblade. Both relationships are vital to the only aspect of himself that Roxas truly understands and how he can remember who he is when he's lost. In Re:Mind, we see that these relationships are vital to Roxas returning to existence.

What is a headcanon (or two) you feel strongly about and that you prefer playing your character with? How is this supported in canon and why do you think it benefits the character's story?
I strongly believe that Roxas doesn't want to be a regular schoolkid, despite his appearance. While we are introduced to a KH2 Roxas who wants his life to return to normal with his fabricated school friends, Days presents us with a different kind of normal. His life with Axel and Xion. Roxas just wants to be with his friends. The whole trappings of day-to-day life aren't important, and I think Roxas would be bored of just that.

The Roxas who enjoys the lazy life is a mind-wiped Roxas who has been conditioned to believe that he's just another child. Whereas Days shows us a Roxas who cannot abide with downtime, who constantly has to be doing something because that's all he's ever done. I think Roxas in his natural state would be in-between the two. He's naturally restless because he's a Keyblade wielder and wielders, as shown in KH Union Cross, are explorers and fighters. Casual life isn't really them. That said, I think Roxas can apply himself well and would do well at school, just not be limited to it.

Roxas' purpose is being there for his friends. This becomes pretty explicitly clear in KH3, where his friends are the connection that brings him back, so he can fight by their side. So if Roxas' purpose is being there for his friends, it's not automatically associated with a "normal" life. Roxas will still seek out adventure with his friends. Even local adventures. Even though Roxas looks young and is new to the world, he's still essentially a child soldier. He's going to always have that need to be in the thick of things.

I think this is vital to his story because it has him always pursuing new experiences/knowledge, always growing.

What does your character feel like they struggle with still? Where could they improve? This could be physically, mentally, emotionally, or otherwise.
So one of the things I want to explore with Roxas is how he reacts to a life outside of the Organization's rules but also less scripted than his Twilight Town simulation. Roxas doesn't really know how to be a normal boy. In the Organization, he was trained to avoid normal people, although he broke this rule from time to time because he's curious. He could barely function with a day's worth of vacation, knowing only how to kill Heartless and hang out with his friends. In Twilight Town, Roxas experiences a "normal life" of exploring things, getting involved in competitions and talking about school assignments. But this was just bits of Roxas' memory cobbled together from his conversations with the Twilight Town crew, along with pieces from his time with Axel and Xion. It's basically Roxas parroting as he always does when he's trying to learn something new.

When it comes to human to human interaction, he knows still got a lot to learn. His humor is on the cynical side from spending his time around Nobodies and he doesn't know much about other pastimes, beyond the ones from his simulated memory such as skateboarding. He's really lost when it comes to the concept of biological family and mostly associate family with friends. A lot about the modern world is super new to him.

Adding to this is his struggle to understand complex human emotions such as love and relationships beyond friendship, something that deeply frustrates him and that he was always told he would understand with a heart. This is something he will try to learn more about. The same goes for complicated reasons behind people lying. And dishonesty in general. Roxas overall wants to know more about human existence.
